On 8-10-2004, the Conway City Council picked Route A as the desired route fro the western loop.

This project will consist of providing planning and engineering services to the City of Conway to conduct location and alignment studies. The studies will determine the most economical and enviromentally acceptable route location and design for a western arterial loop on the south and west sides of Conway.

The blue dots shown on the route maps represent areas of significance to be avoided by the loop right-of-way

The location and design will be selected to be acceptable to the City with concurrence of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), the Federal Highway Admininstration (FHWA), and Metroplan. The studies will document the National Enviromental Policy (NEPA) process. A functional preliminary design will be prepared for the selected alignment.
